Ian joined Evident Tax LLC in 2022 as a Tax Associate focusing on preparing 1040 Individual Federal Income Tax Returns with an emphasis on Pass Through Entities from Partnerships and S-Corporations.

Prior to 2015 Ian had spent his whole working career in the Oil and Gas Exploration Industry before leaving due to the economic problems in the industry.  Not being willing to retire and having a good head for numbers, Ian became a Tax Preparer working with a national tax preparation company.

During this period Ian completed over one hundred tax returns a year gaining experience in completing all types of returns from basic to more complicated one. Ian gained experience in completing returns for Sole Proprietorships, Rental Property income and Partnership and S-Corporation pass through entities.

The Pandemic years provided a challenge, having to learn and understand all the new rules as well as having to assist and educate clients to make sure they received the full benefits due to them.

Every year Ian Annual Tax Law Refresher Course, to review changes to Tax Law for the upcoming tax season, along with continuing education courses.
